Bowyer Styles are able to advise on a range of investments suitable for sole traders, partnerships and incorporated businesses (limited companies).

For sole traders and partnerships this would effectively be a personal investment. Incorporated businesses would be classed as a corporate investment.

If an investment is on behalf of the ‘company’, an offshore investment strategy would be required otherwise ‘double taxation’ applies. In effect, the company makes the investment and owns the policy with the directors as the lives assured.

Ownership of the investment can remain with the company or at a later date, the ownership can be assigned to the directors for personal ownership. Partial or full surrender could be made at any time and brought back into the United Kingdom to suit the company’s corporation tax position.

There are extensive investment opportunities as detailed in  the 'International investment' section.
